Sault Ste Marie District Labour Council would like to express our Appreciation to all the frontline workers that have worked tirelessly to keep our community safe during the pandemic. We can never Thank You enough for the work you do.
Annually on April 28th The National Day of Mourning, we renew our pledge to fight for the living and remember those who lost their lives due to workplace hazards and injuries.
This year’s annual Day of Mourning event has historic importance, given the current global COVID-19 crisis and the millions of workers in Canada and all over the world that are risking their lives each day they go to work. The pandemic has shown us the importance of proper protective equipment and training for all workers across all sectors.
Labour Council’s across the country continue to work with the Ontario Federation of Labour and the Canadian Labour Congress to ensure the safety of all workers in our country.
Please join in a virtual candle lighting April 28th at 11:00 am as
